Sourdough Discard Pie Crust

This easy sourdough discard pie crust recipe comes together super quickly and is so delicious

Sourdough Discard Pie Crust

10 minutes - 2 pie crusts

1.5 cups maida (all purpose flour)

1 tsp salt

1 tbs brown sugar (regular sugar is fine too)

1 cup Amul butter, cold and cubed (regular salted butter)

1 cup soudough discard

  1. Add first 4 ingredients to a blender or food processor and pulse until the mixture is coarse and mealy.

  2. Add the sourdough discard and pulse a couple more times until the dough starts to come together.

  3. Pour into a bowl and knead with your hands 4-5 times until the dough comes together. Cut the dough in half and wrap in saran wrap. Store in refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour before rolling out and cooking.

  4. When you’re ready to use it, roll out until 1/4 inch thick circle and place in pie pan.

  5. Use to make your favorite pie, like my Chocolate Lava Brownie Pie.
