Copycat 5 Ingredient Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce

Real talk. This alfredo sauce is one that i’ve used for about 5-6 years, and while it’s super heavy — it’s seriously EXACTLY like Olive Garden’s alfredo sauce. It’s one of those special recipes that I only bring out for certain occasions because of how heavy it can be — but it’s so yummy! And over here, it’s a treat to be able to find parmesan cheese. I linked in the recipe below the type that we buy here (it’s cheaper than the pre-shredded kraft stuff you can find at random import stores). Hope you like it — it couldn’t be an easier to make.

Copycat 5 Ingredient Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce

30 minutes • serves 4-6

2 Tbs butter

2 Tbs cream cheese

100 grams grated Parmesan cheese

400 ml cream

8-10 cloves garlic minced

Salt & pepper

Pasta water (for thinning the sauce)

  1. Over medium high heat, melt the butter and add garlic cloves. Saute until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add cream cheese and stir until cream cheese is melted.

  2. Add cream and stir, bringing to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Once the sauce has thickened, add grated parmesan cheese and turn off the heat. Stir the sauce until the parmesan has fully incorporated into the sauce (FOLD IN THE CHEESE ;)

  3. Once your pasta is cooked (ONLY use water and about 1-2 tablespoons of salt to cook your pasta. DO NOT add oil to the water), reserve abut 1 cup of the pasta water and use it to thin out the sauce as needed.

  4. Add your drained pasta to the sauce and serve warm with my Copycat Montreal Chicken!
